We're on the move...

People change. Things move on. This blog has served as a good first vehicle to publish my work and opinions over the last few years. But like my first car, it's become a bit of tired old beast; clunky, clumsy, and never quite been given the love and attention it deserved. Like my old car, it has been destined for the scrap heap for some time.

I'm now in the progress of setting up a new improved blog; modern, sleek and clean. It's looking great, but please bear with as we get it just right. It'll be up and running in the next week or so. See you on the other side...

How do you dare yourself? #RoxyDares

Like its heart shaped logo, Roxy seem to have been at the heart of women's lifestyle clothing and apparel since I started surfing over a decade ago. Tough but feminine, functional yet fashionable, Roxy is one of the original female lifestyle and extreme sport brands that is standing the test of time.

Following the success of their #lettheseasetyoufree campaign, they’re ruffling up a lot of chicks’ feathers with the new #RoxyDares competition, calling for all Roxy girls to let them know how they make every day an adventure. The prize, a chance for to win a Roxy trip of a lifetime (boat in the Maldives anyone?) with five other winners from around the globe - plus a nice cool $5,000 in your pocket. Oh, and it's a great marketing and social media campaign too.

Entrants need to submit either a one minute video or three photographs and 150 word piece on how you dare yourself, make every day an adventure, live a unique life, and how you aim to dream big.

Now, just which photographs to select…?

The Lion takes on the big girls

Thank you Hels Martin for alerting me to the lovely comments up on my piece in Lionheart Magazine issue three by Naomi on her blog. Seems that Lionheart is beginning to make a roar - it's standing very well up against Oh Comely magazine and Frankie Magazine nowadays.

Very nice to have some positive feedback every now and then. My new New Year's resolution is to share more words of encouragement.
